Partner with CardOffice

CardOffice is a web-native, printer-agnostic ID issuance platform built over twenty-five years in the trade. It is deliberately open at the edges, any card printer with a driver, a documented REST API, configurable RFID encoding, and a self-hosted deployment option, which makes it straightforward to sell alongside hardware, consumables and access control rather than against them.

Who we are looking for

Four kinds of partner

Each of these is a real gap rather than a page filler. If you are one of them, the conversation is short and specific.

Card printer & consumable resellers

You already sell printers, ribbons, cards and cleaning kits. CardOffice is the software layer that keeps those customers issuing, and therefore ordering, instead of letting a card programme quietly lapse. Ribbon levels, cleaning intervals and card stock are tracked in the platform, so a reorder is a prompt rather than a surprise.

International resellers

The platform is multi-tenant and self-hostable, so a partner in another market can deploy inside that market's jurisdiction rather than routing customer data back to New Zealand. We are specifically looking for a North American reseller, and open to others.

Access control & security integrators

RFID encoding runs through a configurable interface: the door credential is written to the card's chip, read back to confirm it, and recorded against the cardholder. If you integrate access control, CardOffice handles the credential lifecycle, enrolment, photograph, print, encode, revoke, that sits either side of the reader.

Identity & education technology partners

SCIM provisioning from Entra ID and Google Workspace, single sign-on through Entra ID, Google Workspace and Okta, a REST API with webhooks, and a proven outbound-only bridge to legacy student-records systems. If you implement student or staff systems, card issuance is the downstream piece that usually gets left on a spreadsheet.

Why it resells well

Nothing about it is locked to us

A platform that only works with one printer, one directory or one hosting arrangement is a hard thing to put your name on. CardOffice is built the other way round.

  • Printer-agnostic. Any card printer with a Windows or Linux driver. No hardware lock-in to explain to a customer.
  • Thin agent, no fat client. Printing runs through a lightweight agent over HTTPS. Nothing to install and licence on every workstation, so a rollout is not a desktop project.
  • Self-hostable. A customer who cannot send data offshore is a customer you can still serve.
  • Open interfaces. Documented REST API, webhooks on every status change, scoped tokens, configurable RFID encoding.
  • Already live. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet certified and in production, and a sync bridge running against a live legacy database, not a demo environment.

What we ask

  • You issue cards to real people, not to a test tenant
  • Honest feedback, including the unflattering kind
  • A reference call or case study if it goes well, approved by you, line by line
Early adopters

Run your card programme on it, at no software cost

We are looking for a small number of organisations to run a live card programme on CardOffice without paying for the software. Not a trial tenant that expires, and not a stripped-down edition, the platform, on your real cardholders, with our help getting it stood up.

What we get out of it is the thing a young platform cannot buy: somebody using it every working day and telling us where it is annoying. What you get is a modern card system, and a say in where it goes next.

How it works

What a partnership looks like

  1. A conversation, not a form

Tell us what you sell today and who you sell it to. We will be direct about whether CardOffice fits that motion, including when it does not.

  2. A working tenant

You get a real environment with your own card designs, so you are demonstrating the product rather than a slide about it.

  3. Commercial terms in writing

Margin, deal registration and support boundaries agreed up front and written down. Support is New Zealand business hours today, which is a constraint worth settling before it becomes a surprise.

  4. First customers, together

We stay on the early implementations with you rather than handing over a PDF and wishing you luck.

Common questions

Frequently asked

What does a reseller actually sell?

A subscription to CardOffice, alongside the printers, ribbons and card stock you already sell. The software is the part that keeps the consumable relationship alive, because a customer running a live card programme orders ribbons every term rather than once.

Do we have to carry stock or run infrastructure?

No. CardOffice is hosted, or self-hosted by the customer. A reseller needs no servers and no warehouse beyond whatever they already keep for printers and consumables.

We are outside New Zealand. Does that work?

It can. The platform is multi-tenant and self-hostable, which is what makes distance workable, a reseller in another market can deploy in that market's jurisdiction. We are specifically interested in a North American reseller. Timezone support is the honest constraint to discuss up front, and we would rather discuss it than gloss it.

Which printers are supported?

Any card printer with a Windows or Linux driver. Zebra ZXP-series printers get the deepest support today, including ribbon tracking, cleaning reminders and built-in mag-stripe encoding. Other brands are added as customers need them, and a reseller with volume behind a particular brand is the fastest way to move it up that list.

What does the early adopter programme involve?

A working card programme on CardOffice at no software cost, in exchange for honest feedback and, if it goes well, a reference or a case study you approve line by line. It suits an organisation issuing real cards to real people, not a pilot that never leaves a test tenant.
